New York City: Day 1

For a week in August 2009, Dol and I visited New York City for the first time together. Though I’d made a few prior trips to the Big Apple, it was her first, and there was still plenty for me to discover. We had a blast!

On our first day in town, we stopped off at our hotel in Queens, then hit the town running. We took the subway down to lower Manhattan, where we visited St. Paul’s Church, observed the construction in progress at the World Trade Center site, and took a nice walk around Battery Park and up Wall Street before we called it a night.
